(More customer reviews)While the NORDIC WARE MICROWAVE BACON MEAT RACK does the job, it does have a couple of major drawbacks for people like me who like their bacon crispy. It cooks the bacon well and the grease drains into the channels below. However, if you cook your bacon crispy (longer cooking times), some of the earlier-rendered bacon fat cooks into the channels. I have soaked and scrubbed with various tools, but I cannot get all of that hard, cooked-on grease out of those skinny channels and angles. Furthermore, if you cook several slices crispy, the bacon creates more grease than can be contained in the channels, and (defeating the purpose of this rack) the bacon ends up sitting in a pool of grease anyway.
I am currently looking into other types of microwave bacon cookers, but in the meantime, I have taken to using a Chinet paper plate with several paper towels. It soaks up all the grease and cleanup is as easy as throwing everything in the trash afterward.

(More customer reviews)When you read this review, please know that I am fairly easy to please. I do love this cart, but the drawer is slightly out of square. Another downside was the length of time it took to assemble it. That said, it is a nice addition to my kitchen. It is spacious, but fits well in limited spaces. The power strip is a nice addition, but only if you need to plug in multiple items, as you have to run the cord to an outlet anyway. My microwave is built in, so I purchased it as a place to put my Turbo FlavorWave oven. It fits perfectly. I am happy with the purchase.

The concept is great , you could stack in freezer right to microwave. I would love to see an 11" with deeper wells .....I guess my perfect plate would be the size of a garbage can lid, but then I would complain about the small door on the Microwave

TO GET A GOOD SEAL MAKE SURE THE PAN HANDLES ARE EAST/WEST AND THE LID HANDLE IS NORTH/SOUTH..... SEEMS LIKE THE LID GETS "SUCKED IN" WHEN PUT THIS WAY AND FOOD COOKS BETTER AND QUICKER.

It took patience to put together, as there are many pieces while the directions and diagrams are not as clear as they should be. Once assembled, though, it is strong, sturdy and stable. I am sorry the shelves and drawer are particleboard, but that is to be expected in something this modestly-priced. Altogether I am very pleased with this item. It looks good, and it nicely holds the microwave, some pots and pans, and plenty of kitchen odds and ends while having a "small footprint". I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to add useful storage / work space to a smallish kitchen at a very reasonable cost.

The bacon cooks well in the microwave; then the bacon fits as is shown in the photo. I always cook the bacon on a paper towel which prevents the fat from dripping into the microwave. After thoroughly mopping up the bacon fat, the cooker cleans up well in the dishwasher.

(More customer reviews)This cart is exactly what I was looking for. It's more stylish and roomier than some of the other carts I found online. The pull out middle drawer and built in power strip are a nice touch. Spacious enough for a mid size microwave. We have a 1.1 cubic ft microwave on the top shelf, and two coffee makers on the pull out shelf: regular drip coffee maker and an espresso machine. We use the bottom shelf for a fruit bowl, and the pull out drawer for table linens. The shipping was expensive, but I shopped around and even with the $[...] shipping charge, the overall total was less than other sites that had the cart listed at a higher price, but with less expensive shipping. All in all, I would recommend this cart.

(More customer reviews)I like this cooker, however, you have to fidget with the cook times and positioning of the bacon for it to work well. I cook a lot of bacon every so often for job breakfast potlucks. It advertises that you can cook 14 pieces at a time. I find that cooking 14 slices takes twice as long as the instructions indicate and the slices are so close together that they tend to stick together as they cook. I like crispy bacon so instead of 14 minutes, I had to cook the bacon for at least 20-25 minutes to get the bacon crispy. I finally decided to cut back and I only put 7-8 slices in the cooker with a space between each slice to cut down on the sticking together. So, now I cook the bacon for about 13 minutes and it seems to work really well.

After breakfast, saw that we still had 4 pieces left over in the package, so put those in to cook (after draining the grease from the first batch). Three minutes into the cooking process, noticed a funny smell. Opened the microwave and the product had melted -- hole in the bottom, so grease is all over the microwave (luckily, we have a glass tray in the microwave, so it captured most of it). Went to remove the pieces of bacon from the rack and off came a string of plastic with one of the pieces where it had melted to the bacon!

Firstly, although it might be well-sized for reheating small portions of leftovers, all but one of the containers are way too small for microwave cooking. Secondly, the lids don't fit! And finally and most importantly, although it is supposed to be save for microwave cooking, the warnings on the bottom of each piece that instruct you NOT to cook anything with fat, sugar or oil make me very nervous. What kind of cookware warns you not to cook without those ingredients? I think I'd better spend the extra few dollars to get some pyrex or similar. This set is garbage.
