Pasta Express Double Set, Pour, Cook, Drain, As Seen on TV Review

(More customer reviews)I received the double set of the Pasta Express this morning. I was extremely disappointed w/ the packaging of the set. I received the set in a plain cardboard box w/ the directions placed inside of one of the tubes that I cant even get open. How do I know that this hasnt been used before? Where is the original box (as shown in the picture)? Dont waste your time w/ this product because you cant even tell if it is brand new or not. I was planning on giving it as a gift for Christmas but I dont think I will now. I may return it but its such a hassle that I may just keep it.

Micro Mac Mini Steam and Poach Set Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using the Micro-Mac microwave cookware for close to 15 years and I've been very pleased with the durability and ease of use of this product. In particular I like this set as it contains the basics needed for microwave "baking". While the microwave oven does not truly "bake" it does a fairly decent job of cooking quick breads. The Micro-Mac muffin pan is really good at this task as the cups allow for moisture to escape which helps prevent soggy muffins. I like the cake pan as I use it to cook veggies or to bake a quick cake layer. The tube pan can be used to "bake" a coffeecake or as a gelatin mold.
This is a sturdy, easy to clean set.
Highly recommend.

(More customer reviews)Martin Hamilton's bad experience in earlier review is because he must not have read the instructions that say to pop the vent "before" heating in microwave. The vent is not supposed to pop by itself. You pull it up to vent it. If you do that, the lid does not pop off and the mug works great. If you want to take it somewhere or store it in fridge or freezer, then you close the vent. I love this product. It's great for soup and the kids' Chef-Boy-R-Dee! Perfect size! Goes from microwave to table and into fridge.

These Tupperware microwave items are sturdy and the bowls are smooth so it doesn't get stained if you heat up sauces. The fact that they are dishwasher safe (even the lids) is an added bonus.

Pasta Boat Review

(More customer reviews)The Pasta Boat is the Pasta N More that was sold a few years back....except its red. :D And like the Pasta N More, it works in exactly the same way. I know there have been mixed reviews for this style of pasta cooker but I have the Pasta N More and I use it exclusively for pasta now (no more boiling water on the stovetop)and the pasta comes out perfect every time.
Tip: Start out by putting hot water in the container, not cold. The microwave has to take time to heat up the water, otherwise, and that takes away from the cooking time. Doesn't have to be scalding hot, but hot. I cook about 3/4 of a box of spaghetti and fill the container with water to the #4 line and cook for 17 minutes. PERFECT! Don't have to think about it....don't have to test it. I did test it the first 2 times I used the unit but I don't test it anymore....I know it will come out just right. And it doesn't stick together, either. The drainer top is terrific and I serve the spaghetti right in the container.
I only paid $2 for mine at a thrift store and it looked like it had never been used. I did condition the unit the way they tell you by putting water in it and microwaving it that way before you use it for pasta. Don't know what the reasoning is behind that but I wasnt going to take the chance of NOT doing it. If it helped, I am glad I did it.

(More customer reviews)I love this product. It's great for soup and the kids' Chef-Boy-R-Dee and Spaghettios! Perfect size! Goes from microwave to table and into fridge. Just remember to pop the vent before heating in microwave.
I also like the design of the handle. It does not attach at the bottom which makes it more flexible for bigger hands and stacks in less space than other bowls with handles that attach at the bottom, too.

(More customer reviews)This little item really needs a cookbook to cover those wierd pastas you get from the health food store. For example, I love Soba noodles, but they cook to mush when I use this on standard settings.
Still, I think this is the best thing since microwaves. It doesn't heat up or steam up my kitchen nearly as much as a pot on the stove would, and no sticking.
Careful to leave the top of it OFF while you're microwaving. That's really not as dangerous as it sounds.

Since most plastics cannot be nuked - these really come in handy to warm up a little something to eat without having to use another dish to cook or nuke in. After I realized how much I used them I went back to same company and found they no longer sold them. There was no company name on them so I have spent about 6 months looking for them! Thanks to Amazon - here they are! I purchased another set yesterday, but sadly the site said there was only 1 set in stock! *sigh* I will buy a couple more when they get more in! Try them, you'll love them too! One tip though, don't heat tomato soup - it stains them.

Tupperware Vent N Serve Microwave Super Set Review

You can use them to store food in the refrigerator (not the freezer)and they will keep it fresh as long as conventional Tupperware. The one big plus is the vent on the top. If you want to reheat something in the microwave (not oven or stove as my husband found out) just pop the vent & put it in. The open vent allows for steam to escape and your food reheats without risking any splatters all over the inside of your microwave. I'd avoid the bigger set with the 'exclusive' giant container unless you've got an industrial sized microwave since there does need to be enough air circulation around the container while in the microwave.

A COUPLE OF HIN"TS.... IF STAINING BOTHERS U THEN WAIT UNTIL THEY HAVE IT IN BLACK AS SILCONE DOES STAIN.
DO NOT USE ANY KIND OF ABRASIVE CLEANER OR TEFLON TYPE SPONGE TO CLEAN AS IT AFFECTS THE SILICONE.
IF UR RECIPE CALLS FOR GREASE THE PAN THEN DO SO WITH OIL OR BUTTER BUT NO PAM LIKE SPRAS. OF COURSE, NO SHARP KNIVES.
TO GET A GOOD SEAL MAKE SURE THE PAN HANDLES ARE EAST/WEST AND THE LID HANDLE IS NORTH/SOUTH..... SEEMS LIKE THE LID GETS "SUCKED IN" WHEN PUT THIS WAY AND FOOD COOKS BETTER AND QUICKER.
THE RECIPE BOOKLET I GOT WAS NOT MUCH HELP, SO I USED MY IMAGINATION AND ADJUSTED MY COOKING TIMES AND VOILA.... EVERY THING COMES OUT DELISH.
I USE MINE IN A TOASTER OVEN AS I DO NOT OWN A MICROWAVE AND CANT REMEMBER HOW TO WORK MY STOVE OVEN (LOL)_
TRY IT.... U WILL LOVE IT, I AM SURE.
