(More customer reviews)Not sure what happened to the other reviewer, but I'd suggest he call the manufacturer as other reviews for their products suggested they were very accommodating if there was a problem (part of the reason I took a chance on this even though there were no reviews at the time).
Anyway...I bought this as a microwave stand for my kitchen. We need extra storage under our microwave and I hate having just a big open area like most microwave stands have, so this fit the bill nicely. Cake mixes and baking-type items fit on one shelf of the storage area on the left with the door, and 3 full bags of chips fit on the bottom (with still a bit of room left over for a big canister of oatmeal and other odds and ends). On the open shelves, I have one basket with food in it, and on the bottom is room to store all of my cookbooks (2 rows, one behind the other). The drawer does not have any rollers, but it still a nice size for potholders, chip clips, and other odds and ends. I wouldn't put stuff in there that needs to be accessed every day because it might not hold up.
I am VERY pleased with how sturdy this thing is. Other than a few pieces, it is real wood. And if you've searched for a kitchen cart/microwave stand in this price range elsewhere you know that's pretty hard to find. The butcher block top is very nice, but I don't think I'd use it as a cutting board. It would probably hold up OK, but would lose its nice gloss. My largeish microwave lives on top of it and there is still some room to spare on either side. It's also nice that since I will not be moving my cart (other than to clean behind it occasionally), it has locking wheels.
I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely look to Preston Hollow brand again if I needed any more affordable but non-cheap and non-ghetto-looking kitchen storage (well, I DO need it, I just don't have space for it! ugh.).

(More customer reviews)I have really enjoyed having this shelf in my kitchen. The outlets make it very very nice. My only complaint is that the screws are constantly coming loose and having to be re-tightened. It wouldn't be a big deal except that I have 3 small children and having a rickety shelf that tilts from side to side is not great. It has never even almost fallen over, but it makes a mommy a little nervous. I haven't put anything on the screws to make them stay or anything like that and that would be easily done. Overall this is a wonderful, thoughtfully made, useful product that I would recommend.

Microwave Oven Kitchen Cart - Cherry Review

(More customer reviews)PROS: The product was boxed pretty well. No parts were scratched or damaged. The frame is a nice finish, but that's about all that is nice.
CONS: I thought the designs on the sides were squares, but they are cut outs of a steaming coffee cup. The 'wood' isn't at all dark enough to be called a cherry finish, and is coated with a thick shiny plastic. The drawer bottom is flimsy and very thin. The finished drawer looks like it will be shallow, but I can't tell yet, becuase they packed 2 right drawer sides and no left side. And the drawer pull (knob) is polished nickle, which doesn't at all match the frame.
I'm putting it together on the weekend and found out that Home Source (the seller on Amazon) only has customer service on weekdays during east coast business hours.
I'm not really happy with the product, but Amazon's return policy (not reimbursing the shipping cost on faulty product returns) is outrageous. Add to that, you have to pay to ship a faulty item back. I think I'm done with Amazon after this. Hopefully I can contact the seller or manufacturer and just get a replacement part for the faulty drawer side. Otherwise I'll just omit the drawer and call it lessoned learned for buying furniture online.

Baker's Rack with Cutting Board by Whitmor Review

(More customer reviews)I actually bought one of these racks at Lowes a while back for about the same price. It is just great. I lived in a small apartment and this rack seem to double the storage of my kitchen. I filled the bottom shelves with wicker baskets and was able to store pots and pans, plastic containers and many more kitchen items. It's so much better than kitchen drawers. You can store a ton of plastic containers and lids in the baskets and have easy access to them. You can hang utensils for easy access. I use the top shelf for storing tea boxes, candles and small items. In addition to all the storage you have another 3 feet of hardwood (mine is oak) counter space for preparing food. If you live with a small kitchen this rack is an instant remodel. I can't say enough about this rack. It's great.

White Wood & Metal Kitchen Server Kitchen Microwave Cart Review

(More customer reviews)I put together furniture all the time with no problems. However this cart was a different story.
Know that there are absolutely NO verbal instructions with this cart. The one page of pictures leaves a lot to be desired.
After hours of trying to put this cart together I just gave up. The illustrations are unclear as to exactly how the screws, channels, bars and shelves interplay with each other.
Because the holes in one of the wood shelves would not line up so I could screw it to a bar, the heavy wood shelf came crashing down from top to bottom (narrowly missing my hand) and the wood split.
This is within hours of receiving this item.
Also know that, although the picture appears to be showing stainless steel metal...it is not. The cart is white, not "white wood" as the title says but white metal.
I am very unhappy with this cart but all the parts are scattered about and the box is ripped (only way to get the heavy parts and pieces out) and so returning it is not an option. I clearly wasted my money. I would give it a -1 for the poor assembly instructions alone if that were an option.

(More customer reviews)The cart came quickly and the seller was very nice in answering any questions I had. My advice would be to be careful of the dimensions of the microwave that goes inside. Luckily I picked one that fits but it was VERY close. I like the cart a lot, especially for the price. The only thing is that it does sit rather low to the ground which is okay for me, but my boyfriend has a bad back so it hurts him to have to bend down to get into it.

(More customer reviews)When you read this review, please know that I am fairly easy to please. I do love this cart, but the drawer is slightly out of square. Another downside was the length of time it took to assemble it. That said, it is a nice addition to my kitchen. It is spacious, but fits well in limited spaces. The power strip is a nice addition, but only if you need to plug in multiple items, as you have to run the cord to an outlet anyway. My microwave is built in, so I purchased it as a place to put my Turbo FlavorWave oven. It fits perfectly. I am happy with the purchase.

(More customer reviews)This was extremely well-packed and so arrived with no damage of any sort. It took patience to put together, as there are many pieces while the directions and diagrams are not as clear as they should be. Once assembled, though, it is strong, sturdy and stable. I am sorry the shelves and drawer are particleboard, but that is to be expected in something this modestly-priced. Altogether I am very pleased with this item. It looks good, and it nicely holds the microwave, some pots and pans, and plenty of kitchen odds and ends while having a "small footprint". I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to add useful storage / work space to a smallish kitchen at a very reasonable cost.

(More customer reviews)This cart is exactly what I was looking for. It's more stylish and roomier than some of the other carts I found online. The pull out middle drawer and built in power strip are a nice touch. Spacious enough for a mid size microwave. We have a 1.1 cubic ft microwave on the top shelf, and two coffee makers on the pull out shelf: regular drip coffee maker and an espresso machine. We use the bottom shelf for a fruit bowl, and the pull out drawer for table linens. The shipping was expensive, but I shopped around and even with the $[...] shipping charge, the overall total was less than other sites that had the cart listed at a higher price, but with less expensive shipping. All in all, I would recommend this cart.

(More customer reviews)This is the perfect piece of furniture for the kitchen. We are able to keep a coffee maker on the top shelf and a full size microwave on the second shelf. I had a hard time finding another cart that would fit both. The slide out basket and bottom shelf provide even more storage than we need. It's completely functional, and takes up less space than I thought, blends nicely into the kitchen. Only took about 30 min to put together, but I recommend using a drill to save time/energy.

(More customer reviews)I crossed my fingers when I purchased this cart because of the mixed reviews. Worse case scenario, I'd just return it. I'm pleased to say that I am quite satisfied with the cart. I find it very sturdy (the bottom shelf holds up to 44 lbs!). In assembling it, I initially put the bottom shelf on upside down (the lip should be toward the floor). This mistake made the cart very unsteady, but as soon as I turned it right side up, everything came together like a glove. It's a handsome piece with lots of storage space. I keep my crock pot, rice cooker, and blender on the bottom shelf to clear counter space. Keeping these 'heavy' items on the bottom shelf and locking the whells also steadies the unit so that it doesn't move when using the sliding adjustable-height top shelf. I'd recommend it. Hope you found this review helpful.
