(More customer reviews)I bought one of these as a test. I wanted something that I could use for coffee in the bedroom, so I didn't want spills. I also wanted something that would slow the cooling of the coffee. And I wanted something that I could reheat in the microwave. The Bodun travel mugs do these things very well. They are also very attractive. Eventually I started using my mug for water and Coke as well. Then I bought another. I eventually stopped using my regular glasses for drinks around the apartment, since they just didn't work as well. Then I bought two more for my girlfriend.
These mugs have a rubberized base that acts as an insulator, so coasters are not really required on nightstands and coffee tables. The rubber also makes it more difficult to jar the mug into sliding across a table surface. I've washed the mugs in a dishwasher any number of times without difficulties. There are no rubber gaskets or seals that might be damaged or worn out either by a dishwasher or a microwave.
Those using these mugs should be careful to secure the lid well. I've found that sometimes the lid is more loose than I realized. The lid also seems to loosen up a bit with especially hot or cold beverages, so the lid may have to be readjusted while drinking. Last, the flow rate established by turning a lever within the lid requires some fiddling to get the correct flow rate. If this is not done, the result may be some dribbling while drinking. All said, though, these are an excellent value for the money.
UPDATE: I should have noted that the top to this container has a swivel valve to open the flow or stop it completely. It is easy for this valve to slip into a semi-closed position, and the container may sometimes cause dribbling because of this. Opening the valve corrects the problem. Also, there is a unobtrusive rubber gasket on the lid; it does not seem to deteriorate due to microwaving, age, or anything else. I hope this helps.

Just don't try a coleslaw or baked beans. The plate is not designed for any liquids, and will readily absorb fluid and seep through to your lap or the table. The 'adults' in my family used them for frisbies, and I am told they worked well.

with someone else roughly loading it with a couple
of heavy fiestaware besides it in the dishwasher. However, I just
love love love these cups, and use them every day for tea and
didn't really know how I could do without so
I promptly ordered another pair of mugs. Just thought I'd
read everyone else at home the riot act on how fragile
these are and how precious to me etc...
Surprise, the replacement pair are significantly heavier and
sturdier, and seem to have thicker glass on the outside
while still holding up to having boiling water poured in
to brew a personal cuppa tea. I feel more confident
around this version which has a Bodum and #3 in white letters
on the bottom, vs the etching on my earlier edition.
So go ahead and buy this with more confidence about the durability.
The coolness and utility factors were never in doubt.

(More customer reviews)When it comes to bake-and-serve ware, I always trust Pyrex. I've been using a variety of Pyrex products and have never had any reason to complain. I recently bought my second set of Pyrex glass custard cups for $7.99 from Amazon (50% discount from the normal price), which I felt, was a great bargain. It is not always that you find a stylish quality product that is microwave, oven and freezer safe.
I use the cups to make instant cakes, also use them to serve fruit salads, ice cream, custard and other baked deserts during social get-togethers. I find these cups very useful when I have to reheat a small portion of food either in the oven or microwave.
However see to it that you don't put them directly from the freezer to the oven. Let it remain at room temperature for sometime or else the result might be cracked bowl (Basic Science Concept). I highly recommend these bowls and feel that this product is a must for every homemaker.

(More customer reviews)'Head's Up' to Potential Purchasers of this product: I ordered the Moderno dinner plates, salad plates and cereal bowls (36 of each). The quality of the items is fine, but the way Target packaged them for shipping was so poorly done it was laughable, really. In a nutshell they sent three huge boxes and didn't place any materials in the boxes to protect the smaller boxes containing the glass from moving around and getting damaged during shipping. So, of course, many of the pieces arrived 'in pieces'. What were they thinking???? So, if you order this item and end up with the same brainless guy handling your shipment as I did, be prepared for receiving broken plates and bowls.

Of course, I also love very fine and old porcelaine teapots, but seeing your tea in the pot, especially if you use loose tea leaves, is just an added visual pleasure. The color of the brew gives the beautifully rounded teapot its accent. Easy to take care of: just rinse with hot water and let dry. The spout might need some extra brushing at the tip to keep it shiny. Needless to say (I hope!) that glass deserves a delicate hand for handling, but so does all delicate china and other glassware!
May I suggest you go into your garden and find some fresh basil, peppermint, lavender, cilantro, or camomilla blossoms and brew them in your new glass teapot?! It will make for one very ayurvedic teasane drinking experience, good for body, mind and soul!
