Tupperware Smart Steamer in new green color Review

(More customer reviews)Saw this on the Dr. Oz TV show. Normally I use a basket to steam veggies in a copper bottomed pot on the stove.
On this product, the bottom only allows microwaves in. The big and small baskets and the top don't. Both baskets have holes in them. You put water in the bottom up to a line then pile the one and/or two baskets on top and add the lid. The microwaves heat the water on the bottom and the steam cooks the items in the baskets.
Very easy to clean. Can rinse out or put in dishwasher. It is expensive but looks like it will last quite awhile.
Food can be quite hot so it is recommended you leave in microwave for @5 minutes to let it continue cooking and cool down. Otherwise when you remove the top, a lot of really hot steam is emitted.
It comes with a chart showing best times per food item. Longest time on a single fill up of water is 25 minutes but most anything will be cooked between 10 and 17 minutes.
Nice touch is that underneath the lid is embeded the reminder to fill up to water mark on bottom, don't go longer than 25 minutes, don't go higher than 1200 watts.

"WONDER STEAMER" 4PC MICROWAVE SILICONE SET: COOKS AN ENTIRE MEAL IN MINUTES Review

(More customer reviews)This is a stacked steamer made of bright blue silicone. The bottom is a floppy, flexible blue square thingie that bends and folds under the weight of hot liquid. The top two trays have steamer holes in them, and are flimsier than the bottom tray, and do not fit on top of it with any stability at all. The lid is ... a lid.
The food did cook in it, but not well or evenly. My comparison purchase is the Tupperwave three-layer cooker, which I love. I just wish it also came in a smaller size.
This item is just a silly waste of space and blue pigment.Not recommended.

(More customer reviews)Our tupperware cabinet at home is a complete disaster. I'm talking not even anything those handy Glad Interlocking Lids could help-we tried. The second you open the cabinet, lids fall in an avalanche alongside random containers who haven't seen a decent top longer than Pam Anderson. These containers are GREAT for solving that problem! They can be a little pricey considering you only get 3, but with Amazon's 4-4-3 promotion they are more affordable.
The lids and containers stack nesting style inside each other, plus the adjustable vents are colored, so you NEVER have to wonder which top goes with what container again! The best part about these containers is that they are VERY sturdy and can easily go from fridge to microwave to freezer to dishwasher! The vent on top allows you to store hot leftovers right away into the fridge without having to worry about popping a lid for condensation to escape. You still get a bit of condensation drip, but not nearly as much as a complete cover. The vent is also handy for microwaving-you don't have to take the lid off to do it and you don't need to worry about any pressure build-up during reheating! Thanks to these containers, our storage cabinet has done a complete 180- everything has a place and is neatly stacked and easily accessible!

Pampered Chef Micro Cooker Small Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned one of these for the past 15 years and it's still strong. The handle is convent if your a soup lover as you can eat straight out of the cooker. I have cooked ramen, steamed vegetables, made sauce, I even use this with ravioli and it works beautifully each time. The cover works like a steamer so your soups actually cook/reheat faster, the holes are also a nice strainer. It's easy to clean and convenient if you have kids because it's extremely easy to use and the plastic doesn't get really hot so it's easy to use for making themselves lunch or an afternoon snack. The best thing is the cover stops the microwave from being cover in stuff if the stuff start boiling. You can find some great recipes for this on the website .
GREAT FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS!

Orka Multi Steamer Review

(More customer reviews)The steaming works as advertised. Bought at Macy's and returned because I wasn't happy with the product. Description is not accurate: only the colander component and lid are made of silicone, the transparent bowl and divider plate are made of hard plastic (needed to hold its structure/form, otherwise food and liquid would spill out). What bothers me is that the hard plastic retains strong odors like garlic after just one use. Also it doesn't indicate if that plastic is BPA free or not.

Nordic Ware Microwave 12 Piece Cookware Set Review

(More customer reviews)I recently purshased this set and have had real problems trying to get the lids to 'snap' on.
The majority of the lids alMOST fit, which is somewhat frustrating in itself. I've tried pressing, pushing, popping, and even putting all my weight on the lids without success. Swearing didn't help the lids fit any better, either. No surprise...it seldom does. I even tried pliers to try to snap the lid on the oval piece. Only succeeded in breaking the lid. The aforementioned swearing rapidly graduated to cursing, although no hair cuttings, nail clippings, hatpin-stuck small dolls, nor sacrificial small animals were involved. And, the lid STILL didn't pop onto the cookware.
You just have to marvel at how the lids can come sooooo CLOSE to fitting...but, just absolutely refuse to go that extra hair's width to make the seal.
NordicWare....WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THOSE LIDS???!!!!
The lid issue aside, I've used the cookware frequently for storing leftovers in the fridge and for microwave reheating of same, and the cookware works fine. It cleans up well, and it looks nice.
There, I've said something positive.
But, again...NordicWare....WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THOSE LIDS???!!!!

(More customer reviews)First I tried Salmon and asparagus and it came out nasty and dried out. But that is because I followed the directions. You almost have to experiment with lower power setting on your microwave. That's when this product proves it's greatness. The second time I tried Talapia at 4 and 1/2 minutes on power level 4. The steam cooks it fast, so you can now use this thing at the normal microwave temperature. Once you experiment and get the time and temp right, this thing can be great. The talipia came out moist and tasty, due to seasoning it.
