(More customer reviews)I used my new Kitchenaid 9" round cake pans today and they work great!! I lightly sprayed them with Pam cooking spray that contained flour. They bake beautifully without any attempt to stick. I placed the silicone pans directly on the oven cooking rack without the use of a baking sheet. They sat perfectly level on the oven rack. Taking them out of the oven is a breeze. The cake pans cool quickly and were easy to handle. They have a wide brim that allows you to hold the pans securely. I love these pans! I have ordered the Heart shaped and Square pans. Get these pans while they are cheap in price. You can not go wrong. Use Pam spray and your cakes will pop out like mine without any trouble. Also, these pans will interlock inside one another for easy storage.

I asked the barista if he really must put a plastic lid on my coffee cup because I didn't need it. He explained to me that, yes, in the States it's required, while in Canada it's optional. We then had a lengthy discussion about how all of those plastic lids impact our environment. Well, just a week later, I strolled into a store in Ithaca, NY where I saw these exact Eco Cup lids for sale! I immediately purchased one and have used it ever since. It stretches over any size coffee cup to create a snug fit. Coffee doesn't drip out when you drink from it. I love this product! And, it's small enough to fit in my purse along with my reusable shopping bag. Using the Eco Cup lid is a efficient way to minimize waste, especially for the times when you don't have your own coffee mug and lid!

Chef'n SleekStor Veggie Steam Silicone Steamer, Cherry Review

(More customer reviews)Ok gang, maybe someone can help me with this one. After seeing the steamer at a friends, I ordered one as soon as I could.
Wonderfully steamed vegetables, no funky tastes, YET! I have yet to be able to remove the steamer without the contents spilling back into the pot, or on the counter. After numerous tries.
When I try to remove the steamer using the two loops, it creates a roll effect that wedges itself into any pot I own, and eventually while tugging, one end slips out, and the contents roll out the other end.
I guess I have to use a stock pot to be able to steam a few sprigs of broccoli. Color me confused...

Well after having them for bout a year and using them they do not work for air tight storage. They do work for a temporary cover while waiting to eat but don't expect them to keep a seal on any type bowl, not glass plastic or steel. So the magic is in how they advertise them and not in how they actually work. If you are looking for a quick cover great ;but these are not for airtight storage!!

(More customer reviews)These are not what I expected and work differently that I thought. You should know that you can't put them in the bottom of the oven like the cheap aluminum one I was trying to replace. You are supposed to put it on the bottom rack in your oven. Well I only HAVE 2 racks and this takes up one of them. It doesn't really say if you can put things on the liner and it would be hard to because these liners are about the thickness of a garbage bag and slicker than goose #!*@. When I tried to slide a pan onto the rack this liner was on, the liner just slid to the back of the rack and crumpled up. Maybe I'm using them wrong but if so, the included directions for use are really bad.

(More customer reviews)I've owned many springform pans in the past 22 years, and I am so excited to use this one, after receiving it earlier in the week. Now I have to buy one for my sister, who loves to cook almost as much as I do.
I was surprised to see that it didn't leak, it sealed well and the cleanup was easy. I encourage you to look past the price (which is somewhat higher than regular sprinform pans) and spring for this item. It won't rust, the coating won't "peel off" and the base can be put in the dishwasher without fear of rusting, warping or being scratched. I am so happy to have found this. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius!!

I just wanted to warn others to carefully check out the size. This pan is much smaller than a standard metal angel food pan. The description does says that it is 7 1/4 by 3 1/4.
SiliconeZone does make a larger pan that Amazon carries in yellow and it is 10 x 4 for only $2 more.

Norpro Grip-EZ Red Silicone Splatter Screen Strainer Review

(More customer reviews)I love kitchen silicone products because they are easy to clean and heat resistant. I even use silicone spatula for frying as it doesn't scratches the pan surface.
We have been using the metal splatter screen for years. I never like it and have been considering a silicone screen since I saw them online. The only thing bothering me is the difference in their prices. The metal mesh is very cheap. The metal screen is very messy after each and every use; it is also hard to clean. After a while the seams break and expose wires on the edge which annoyingly get caught with the dish sponge when you clean it.
13" in diameter, which is large, which is good as you want to cover the top of your larger pans. Nice looking. Rated at 500 degree Fahrenheit. The silicone is stretched tight (no sag) on a heavy gauge metal frame. The frame is not visible as it is covered entirely by silicone. The grip is also made of silicone which won't slip on your hands and stays cool during frying. Dishwasher safe. Made in China for Norpro, USA.
Update:
I tried this for steaming dimsums or potstickers. Put water on a pan, put the dimsums on top and cover with a light pan cover. I don't want to use heavy lids as it may sag the silicone (or maybe I am just a bit paranoid). But, it worked great. Easier to clean than my steamer.
Cons:
The holes are a bit large that some oil tends to escape out.

(More customer reviews)I loved these for all the right reasons at first. What you see is what you get and quality of craftmanship seems high. However, after using them for a couple of months I have compared the measurements to my standard glass measuring cups and found that they are off significantly. To make sure I had some Kitchen Aid measuring cups, one that has combined measurements for both dry and liquid volumes. The smallest of the three in this set ("1 cup") said I had halfway between 2/3 and 3/4 cup of water. The KitchenAid and glass measuring cups both said I had exactly 2/3 cup.
This is significant for bakers, cooks, etc. who are relying on accurate measurements in the kitchen. If you wonder why your bread isn't baking right, or your cakes aren't moist enough, and you are using these cups, double check the measurement.

(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these in December 2009 at $4.95 each. I thought that price was expensive, so you can imagine what I think of Amazon's current price of $16.22. They are worth what I paid for them, and this review should be considered in light of that price, not the current one, which I would never pay. I'm still getting used to cooking tools made of silicone. In this case, I don't think that this particular silicone baster works as well as regular bristle basters. Maybe it's just me still getting use to it, but the silicone seems sloppy when applying marinade and doesn't cover as well. So, functionally, I still prefer bristle brushes.
On the positive side, it cleans up well in the dishwasher, better than bristle basters that I usually had to run through twice. There will be no more shedding, which the bristle basters do. I really was sick and tired of the bristles getting into the food. The acrylic handle is sturdy and very attractive.
