(More customer reviews)Pyrex is always the best! This enormous measuring cup is great for melting in the microwave and for a homemade double boiler in any pot. The lid is a hard plastic top with flexible sides that seal up tight so you can use it to store things in the fridge and to carry things places. Also the cover is safe for both freezer and microwave use (but not the oven) and is dishwasher safe in the top rack. The cover has three pouring choices, a regular pour spout, a slotted spout, and a spout with seven little holes. An extremely useful item to have in the kitchen!

(More customer reviews)This is a great bowl. It was a replacement for my 52 year old yellow pyrex large mixing bowl that fell out of a drainer and broke on the countertop. I ordered the clear glass 4 quart bowl to replace it and have found the new one to be more than satisfactory. I like the clear glass better than the old opaque glass that was yellow on the outside and white on the inside. The size is just right. And best of all, I did not have to go shopping to replace the broken bowl. Thank you Amazon.com!!!

KitchenAid Cook's Series Set of 4 Prep Bowls, Red Review

(More customer reviews)These prep bowls are absolutely wonderful. I like them because they have lids, so I can prepare ingredients hours before I am actually going to finish working on the recipe. This is essential for me with two very active and demanding toddlers running around. I also like the sizes that these come in, they are very convenient. It is also nice that they are nested for easy storage. I make homemade bread and the 4 cup size is the one I use most for measuring the flour. It is also handy for measuring the chocolate chips for fudge and other delicious holiday treats. These prep bowls are hard to find, so buy them now while you can.
I only wish that they were easier to dry and towel off, especially the lids. I usually have to leave them on the counter or dish drainer to dry off for a while after they come out of the dishwasher. This small inconvenience did not warrant a subtraction in the stars, so I still awarded these essential prep bowls 5 stars. In fact, I think I am going to buy two more sets.
