(More customer reviews)I purchased 8 dinner plates in preparation for summer entertaining and visiting children. The appearance and beauty of the plates exceeded all expectations so the children never saw them---they became the "company" plates for outdoor and casual dining with the adults. They were assumed to be fine European dinnerware from their lovely colors and designs. My guests were astounded when they learned the plates were Melamine! I will purchase the additional serving pieces soon!
