(More customer reviews)This microwave looks good, but as a microwave that cannot generate microwave, it is useless.
I had used several microwave stoves before, some of them around $50, some around $100, but none of them stopped working within 3 yrs--except this expensive one. We called GE customer service, they told me the magnetron tube was broken, and they also told me this happens because, statistically, the failure rate of this magnetron tube is 3-4 percent. I don't need to be a magnetron-tube engineer to understand this rate. As a regular customer, I just know this failure rate is too high to be accepted.
If GE continues to make this kind of products, it will become another GM soon, and they can only depend on the government bailout to survive.

(More customer reviews)I have some undercabinet puck lights I use these in, and I had been buying single bulbs for a lot more at a local big-box store. Since buying Amazon prime, I've been ordering more things online when the need comes up, and when the bulbs last burned out and I needed to get some more, I found the size bulb on Amazon and was pleased to find them for this price and quantity.
I don't think they burn out any faster than the ones I bought at the other store, but I'm careful when I replace them to use a piece of cloth and not get any finger oil on them (which creates heat variations). I'm not sure how many are left in the 3 pack (I bought them several months ago, and I have multiple undercabinet pucks), but I will be buying them again when my supply runs low.

(More customer reviews)I am extremely disappointed in this product. I had a GE Microwave for 15 years and NEVER had a problem or replaced a part. After 15 years, it just decided not to work anymore. Rather than fixing it, I threw it out and decided it was time for a new one. I wish I would have fixed my old one! I ordered this brand new GE microwave. I received it the end of July. We went on vacation for 2 weeks in August. At the end of August, it stopped heating. We might have used it for 2 weeks! Unbelievable! Apparently the quality of GE is not what it used to be....and I'm still waiting for someone to repair it! Ugh!!

(More customer reviews)I like this microwave. It works well, has good features. My gripe is one of those maddening little design flaws that makes you pound your head on the wall - or wish you could pound the engineers' heads on the wall.
We have ours mounted above the stove, so the light on the bottom of the microwave functions as the stove light. Lights do burn out, so you would design it for quick and easy bulb changes, right? No. 1) This uses some obscure bulbs I haven't seen before - trip to Home Depot! 2) The mounting is by a Phillips screw that is positioned so that if it falls (and it's screwed in upwardly so it will) it can easily fall behind the stove. And did. But that's not all. 3) The bulbs plug in backward to the front of the stove, so you have to feel with your fingers or use a mirror to push the prongs of the bulbs toward you into the holes that you can't see. All this sounds picky and unimportant, and it is, until your bulbs burn out (ours lasted a year), and then it's a completely unnecessary, stupid irritation. What were they thinking?
Again, it's a good microwave. We love it, except for once in a while when we're going to hate it.

(More customer reviews)I purchased GE Profile suite series made in Aug of 2007, one item being the GE Profile 1.8 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven Model PVM1870SMSS. It has been in use about 2 1/2 years and suddenly stopped working i.e. heating. Nothing heats in the microwave oven now. Everything else works fine.
I called Customer Service as this should be under warranty. The Profile line is their "top of the line" product and at the price it is, should definitely last longer than 2 1/2 years. It seems like the magnetron tube has gone out from what I am reading. The part is covered under warranty, but I will have to pay labor. GE wants to charge $100 to send out a service tech plus labor.
Very disappointed that this high end appliance has not lasted very long. Did not have excessive use as I have a household of 1. Isn't something being done about this. GE shouldn't have so many complaints regarding magnetron tubes. They should last longer than 2 1/2 years! I see hundreds of complaints here regarding same issue.
I has an old Emerson counter top that laster 14+ years. I will not buy GE anymore and will need to file an official complaint.
