They lasted perfectly for years if they didn't wind up exploding in an accidental drop (they are fragile). These are another story. They have a "breathable" disc on the bottom. The idea is the gas inside can contract/expand to withstand drastic temperature changes. Unfortunately, this causes steam to get inside the double-walls leaving the glass stained and permanently cloudy and dirty looking. So don't wash these in the dish washer to avoid the cloudiness.
