(More customer reviews)I was very scared about putting my china in the microwave and dishwasher, but honestly, I've done both to my china many times. Because it's so easy to clean, you could use it every day. The pattern is very simple and elegant so it looks great at a special holiday dinner or a more casual meal. This is the only china I've been able to find anywhere that will go in the dishwasher and microwave safely and is still reasonably priced.

(More customer reviews)We've just purchase two 4-piece settings of Lenox Chirp as a wedding gift for an older couple. The birds make a nice reference to a couple settling down together. It is lovely and we wish we could afford more settings. We like this pattern because the individual plates and bowls can be used as accent serving pieces to dress up a plain everyday table setting and the mug is a practical shape and size. The pattern is just beautiful and the colors are very rich. The plates feel very solid when held, not as if they may break if handled roughly. There are many additional pieces, giving us more opportunity over the years to give individual serving or ornamental pieces as additional gifts. It's been a very popular pattern for Lenox, so we hope it won't be discontinued quickly. We did find that the linens that are available to go with the setting are of a fussy material, a little shiny and slick.

Lenox Simply Fine Chirp 13-Inch Medium Platter Review

(More customer reviews)I registered for the Chirp china on my wedding registry. I did not register for this platter, but received it as an off-registry gift. I also received the larger 16" Chirp platter.
I enjoy owning this smaller Chirp platter. I am able to find uses for it, and it is a pretty part of my table when I'm using a bunch of the chirp dishes. It is made of the same strong material as the other items in the Chirp collection, so it is unlikely that it will chip, and I can put it in the dishwasher. I think you would be happy to own this platter as part of your china collection.
If you are trying to decide between the 16" Chirp platter or this medium 13" Chirp platter, I would suggesting going with the larger 16" platter. While it is more expensive, I think you will find it is worth the extra money. The 3" diameter makes a difference when it comes to serving a larger amount of food. As for as the design, the 13" platter is on an all white background, and when I compare it to the 16" platter that has an aqua edge, I find the 13" platter to look a little plain.

(More customer reviews)These are absolutely beautiful dishes and I love them. The patterns are so delicate, yet the plates are very durable. I really liked the variety of patterns on each piece. Even the back of the dishes have butterflies. I was happy to see them at such a discount here. I noticed they are also discounted the same at Bed, Bath and Beyond and a few other places, but are much cheaper than buying them direct from Lenox, even on sale. This set would make a lovely gift for anyone of any age, not just for an elderly person as suggested in the previous review. :) I highly recommend them.
