(More customer reviews)I've had this microwave for 6 years, ever since we redid our kitchen. The built-in fan is a nice feature, and works well. However, after only 4 years, the touch pad stopped working correctly--the numbers 6,7,8,9 and 0 no longer work. I had a repairman look at it, and it would be so expensive to fix that it really wasn't worth it, so I just live with the inconvenience. We also bought a Whirlpool Gold freestanding electric range when we got the microwave. After 6 years of use, one of the burners blew out and had to be replaced--total cost $192.00.
I purposely chose Whirlpool Gold appliances, thinking they would be high quality, but I am disappointed.
After contacting customer service, I got a pre-programed reply; they're not interested in any problems the buyer may have once the warranty expires.
