(More customer reviews)I can't drink coffee without froth. I have tried the froth machines, the frothers with glass beakers, and the battery powered hand units. This is the best frother out of everything I have tried hands down. There is nothing negative to say about the product except maybe the price is a little high (considering it was made in China).
Like the frothers made by companies like Bodum it makes froth by pouring cream or soy into the device and hand pumping the device ten to twenty times. It holds up to four cups of liquid, and froths it like crazy. Seriously, it churns out froth better then any of the other type devices. I think this is because the device is bigger and has a large plunger. It is also more heavy, which makes it easier to pump and produces a more effective result.
Further, unlike the hand devices from companies like Bodum, this is made out of steel (except some of minor parts, which are plastic) not the thin glass Bodum's (and some other companies) frothers are made with. The only reason I can think companies like Bodum makes the glass so thin is because they want to sell you replacement beakers because they break so easily. That is not an issue with this frother. It can be dropped. You might be able to stop a bullet with it.
This unit is also very easy to clean. The smaller glass units are hard to clean because 1) they are easy to break, and 2) they are hard to fit your hand in. This unit your whole hand fits in it, so you know it is clean.
If you love froth, you will not go wrong with this unit. If you drink soy like I do, try using some Organic Valley Soy Milk. The result is amazing.
