(More customer reviews)I just tried a flower-shaped bread tube this weekend with homemade butter roll dough, and it worked wonderfully! If you are a baker or have a friend who is, this is quite a neat idea. My fear was that the pan would not release the bread, but the shaped loaf positively Fell Out! I plan to try a variety of things including making seasoned croutons for a unexpected, special touch for salads.
After spraying the interior with cooking spray, the dough is put into the tube and allowed to rise. The lid is then added and the tube is baked in the oven with the perforated top pointed upward. Easy as pie- nothing to it! The included instructions suggest using them as cutters as well as a baking form.
